  Frank N. Sausen, the founder, established North Star Supply in 1924. In its early years, North Star Supply distributed roofing, siding, steel gutters and downspouts. After World War II, with the advent of the forced air gas furnace, North Star Supply added a full line of heating equipment and supplies. Air conditioning soon followed and by 1975 North Star Supply dropped all roofing and siding products to concentrate on the ever expanding HVAC industry. It was also in 1975 when North Star Supply opened a branch in Rochester, NY. In the mid 90’s North Star entered the hearth products industry, taking on Napoleon Fireplaces, stoves and inserts.
Today Francis J. Sausen Jr., President -grandson of the founder and Trey Sausen Vice-President/General Manager – great-grandson of the founder, head the company. North Star Supply sells and services the Mechanical Contractors, Sheet Metal Contractors, Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors and Fireplace Dealers throughout Western New York.
